Reversible static converter 300 kW

Description

Reversible static converter 300 kW (RSC 300) is designed to charge and discharge energy storage systems. The unit ensures power scaling of several converters (300 kW, 600 kW, 900 kW, 1.2 MW) to use them as a part of charging stations, uninterruptible power supply units or industrial systems of power compensation.

The converter ensures:

  • power conversion of three-phase alternating current network, voltage 400 V and frequency 50 Hz, to DC voltage 600 — 900 V to charge energy storage systems (ESS);
  • conversion of DC power, voltage 650 — 900 V, from ESS to three-phase power network 400 V 50 Hz;
  • synchronization to power network when connecting;
  • emergency shutdown in the event of emergency, warning and alarm signaling;
  • control of charge/discharge voltage and current;
  • transmission of monitored parameters via MODBUS TCP.

A function of power factor correction significantly decreases harmonic distortion of input current. An isolation transformer between RSC and three-phase network 400 V 50 Hz provides additional protection and electromagnetic compatibility.

The converter’s cooling system ensures combined liquid and air cooling by built-in fans.
